Visually Impaired

Shoeb Arif Sarang

Shoeb Sarang was going to a normal school before joining Ummeed the Hope Special School. He then had low vision and was only able to read big, bold prints. Multiple eye surgeries over the years resulted in Shoeb becoming completely visually impaired. Shoeb enrolled into Ummeed School in 2011 and has shown tremendous improvement over the span of 9 years.

Khan Fazal Ayyub

Fazal’s parents testify to the improvement Fazal has shown since he joined Ummeed the Hope Special School. He has learnt to write alphabets and numbers on Braille and can now use the Abacus. In the academic year 2018-19, Fazal appeared for HSC examinations through National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) and cleared with an outstanding 68%. Fazal is currently employed at Reliance Mart, Kalwa, as Sales boy.
